Business Unit Leader - SAP Utilities

We are looking for an experienced leader to take responsibility of leading and further growing our Slovak SAP Utilities team, actively shaping its technical and competence strategy within Natuvion global.

The position also includes active collaboration with international teams, expert oversight of SAP Utilities projects, and gradually taking on key responsibilities in customer communication, particularly in German-speaking countries.

Strategic management of the Business Unit SAP Utilities includes:

• Active participation in managing, steering, and technically coordinating international SAP Utilities projects for energy sector clients (USA, DE, AT).

• Budget planning, capacity management, and skill development for the Slovak team, aligning resource allocation and project priorities with a focus on system optimization, migration, and transformation initiatives.

• Leading, motivating, and developing a Slovak team of experts (SAP IS-U Consultants, ABAP Developers), covering recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and structured career growth.

• Defining the technical and functional roadmap of the Slovak SAP Utilities team in close alignment with senior leadership and global subject matter experts.

• Building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, primarily across DACH regions, gradually taking ownership of key account management and project governance.

• Partnering with global teams to standardize delivery practices, foster cross-border collaboration, and represent Slovak SAP Utilities capabilities across the global Natuvion network.

• Ensuring delivery excellence, high team utilization, and effective escalation management in collaboration with Project and Delivery leads.

• Driving pre-sales support, presenting solutions to prospective clients, and contributing to RFP responses and architecture design.

• Tracking market trends and innovations in the SAP Utilities landscape, with an emphasis on S/4HANA Utilities transformations.

• Representing the company at regional and international SAP conferences and events.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Utilities / SAP IS-U in a senior technical or leadership role (e.g., Senior/Lead Consultant, Solution Lead, Technical Lead, Head of SAP Utilities, or equivalent).

• Deep understanding of SAP IS-U processes and technical architecture to drive high-level technical discussions, assess solution designs, and coordinate experts (detailed hands-on architecting background is not required).

• Proven track record in team leadership and expert coordination, with a strong ability to establish priorities and foster skill development.

• Solid experience with SAP migration and transformation projects (preferably in SAP Utilities), including functional/technical steering.

• Strong client-facing presence with the confidence to drive international technical and strategic discussions.

• Business fluency in English and German (must be able to lead client and technical meetings in German), alongside native/fluent Slovak.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, backed by natural professional authority and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Analytical mindset, autonomy, and a goal-oriented approach.

• Readiness to travel to key locations (USA, Germany, Austria).

• Availability for hybrid model: minimum 3 days per week onsite in our Bratislava office.
